Lot description

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the creation of Sèrie negre, ARTIKA and Fundació Antoni Tàpies reproduced the 15 drawings that made up the complete series and that the artist produced in 1967 on laid paper, creating a limited edition of 998 copies in Arabic numerals and 298 in Roman numerals, all framed in a silkscreen-printed hessian cloth case, divided into two parts. One part contains the volume of studies, with a silkscreen-printed text by Tàpies. The other part of the case is a display case made of hessian cloth and glass that allows the 15 facsimile sheets that make up Sèrie negre to be displayed one by one. All sheets have been printed on handmade paper of the highest quality, each one is numbered and includes the stamp of the Fundació on the back.
Case: 41 x 53 x 13 cm.
Diptychs and Folder: Format 18 diptychs 34 x 46 cm. Tintoretto Gesso paper 250 g (diptychs) and 350 g (folder).
Study book: 32 x 44 cm. 168 pages, 170 g. tatami white paper. Printed in 4/4 inks. Bilingual edition in Spanish and English.
Sheets: 15 die-cut sheets, all of them glued by 3 points of glue to their diptych.
