Lot description

Charcoal, watercolour and gouache on paper.
Pair of drawings from one of the preliminary projects submitted for the ‘public tender for preliminary projects and ideas for the use of Ramblas de San José, Estudios y Canaletas, for the flower market’, which depicts the ideas conceived by the author both for lighting elements and for the ornamental tables and sideboards.
The preliminary project was presented with the slogan: ‘Poble sens art, Any sens primavera’ and it seems to be the second preliminary project submitted by Enric Monserdà, a draughtsman and decorator, who in turn was the first winner of the tender with his other preliminary project, that one with the slogan: ‘ciutat de mors amors...’.
The paper has tears and restorations.
