Lot description

Parallelepiped body in pine wood with walnut, jacaranda, cedar and ebony veneer and brass fillets. Divided into three sections separated by partitions; the side sections have three drawers of the same size overlapping and separated by jacaranda wood panels with brass fillets. The drawer fronts are decorated with tortoiseshell panels on a red background framed by ebonised mouldings. The central door is connected by two iron hinges to the inner right-hand partition, which is decorated with a niche flanked by two columns and a classical depiction. The interior contains a chest of drawers with four drawers of the same size with walnut veneer fronts and boxwood fillets with gilded bronze handles.
The unit is crowned with a cornice, above which is a balustrade with six spread eagles on balls. The set rests on claw feet with ebonised wood ball. Veneered sides with iron handles.
Buffet in black polychrome wood with lyre-shaped legs and iron fasteners.
It has xylophagous holes and subsequent restorations, mainly inside.
Wastepaper basket 74 x 110 x 38.5 cm; buffet 86 x 116 x 41.5 cm.
