Lot description

More than 200 postcards, from different regions of the world, which correspond, most of them, to the extensive correspondence that the members of the Bosch family maintained at the early 20th century, particularly the children of the renowned industrialist and politician Rómulo Bosch i Alsina, a high representative of the Catalan bourgeoisie, who became mayor of Barcelona in 1905. They seem to be a compilation of the correspondence between Rómulo and Alejandro and their sisters, Ángeles, Mercedes and Reyes, their father and other acquaintances and relatives.
This album is a wonderful collector's piece, whose postcards from so many different parts of the world are a clear testimony to the lifestyle of this important family in early 20th-century Barcelona.
