Lot description
Made using stainless steel kitchen utensils such as pots, saucepans, hand mixers, pans, lids, cutlery, etc. on a polychrome iron support.
The restaurant "Òpera Samfaina", which was located at La Rambla, 51 in Barcelona, the former "Espai Liceu", was one of the city's flagship restaurants. An initiative created by Gran Teatre del Liceu, together with Tast Barcelona. It was a cultural space, but especially a gastronomic one, where different Catalan chefs, such as the Roca brothers, collaborated. The 950 m2 venue featured five different spaces where innovative experiences could be enjoyed: Rocambolesc, where visitors could try some of Jordi Roca's ice creams; Vermutería, decorated with fine wood in homage to the olive tree and its fruit, olive oil; Diva, Odyssey and Market, where there were different areas dedicated to the main themes of Catalan gastronomy. For the decoration of these spaces there was a particular design with references to the world of opera and scenographic art created by the visual artist Franc Aleu (1966).
