The hammer price for both auctions and direct sales will be increased by 18% as the brokerage fees of the auction house, plus 21% VAT on the commission of the auction house corresponding to the same. The 21.78% must be increased on the auction or hammer price, which includes commission and VAT.

Lot description

Chromed tubular steel frame with cantilevered support, probably also beech wood, and seat and backrest in mesh.
A Bauhaus-Thonet advertising panel is enclosed.
The B32 chair was designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928. It was originally known as B32, but probably because it was not a very commercial name, Dino Gavina's Italian furniture company called it Cesca, after Breuer's daughter Francesca.
Today it is manufactured by Knoll.
The B32 chair is in the collection of the MoMA in New York.
